While I'm a metal-head at heart, I do listen to just about every kind of music there is, and find that anything too amped just doesn't work for space. Partly it's because of the stock "Air on a G-String" (isn't that a stripper farting or something? couldn't resist), partly because there is so much other stuff I've heard before that has a spacy feel to it, I guess.
I have it set to auto shuffle every time, and kept the stock track, plus added -
Alan Parsons Project -
- Hawkeye
- Pipeline
- The Gold Bug
- Voyager
The Crystal Method - High Roller
Apollo 440 - Liquid Cool
Front Line Assembly - Synthetic Forms
Faithless - God is a DJ
Fantasy - Zion
Juno Reactor - High Energy Protons
The Avalanches - Electricity
Trance [] Control - Organic Meltdown
DJ Quicksilver - Lost In Space
Mars - Pump Up The Volume
Moby - We Are All Made Of Stars
Newcleus -
- Destnation Earth
- Space Is the Place
Delerium -
- Heaven's Earth (Trance Mix)
- Terra Firma (Lara's Mix)
Spice Girls - Outer Space Girls
And an old .mod file from the old Demo/scream tracker days called eagle.mod. It's a really cool techno-ish track with clips from the Lunar Landing ("Tranquility base here, the Eagle has landed" "Roger Tranquility, we copy on the ground" and others)
Heavy on the instrumental, and space oriented or feeling. :hotcool:
