Most of us probably do not fly spaceships in real-life, but I imaigine many of us drive automobiles around... so OF, what do you drive?

I drive a 2001 1.8L turbo VW Passat. It has the typical electrical problems associated with VW, but that turbo makes it all worth it.

1999 Volkswagen Golf IV (1.4l, 75 HP/55 kW). also seems to have some electrical problems, but no car mechanic managed to find the source for the problems yet. Has the tendency lately to stall the engine, and succeeding in it, when the engine is idle. Just pressing gas while rolling restarts the engine though, turning engine off and on again is less successful.

Made 1990,spend fuel like real jet,max speed 145 km/h.
Low price.

No car ATM (refurbishing an old Audi 80 TDI). My ride is a Yamaha XJ600N motorbike for now...

On fair weather days, a 1999 silver Corvette w/some fun go-fast mods (460 HP on the dyno). :)
On rainy or snowy days, a 2005 4WD dark stone Ford Explorer.

I don't have one at the moment but I've rented a Vauxhall Corsa a few times and absolutely love it. It's a nice little car suitable for both motorway and town driving.

2004 Chevy Cavalier, 4 dr, Silver, 2.3L 4 cyl., 80k miles, 30-35 MPG average, 35-38 MPG at interstate speeds (70 mph plus).

2005 Hyundai Elantra. When my daughter turns 16 in a few months it'll be hers. So I'm up for suggestions. If it were just me I'd take a look at the '10 Mercedes SLS. But the wife has different ideas.

Probably get another Hyundai.

Buy a Opel...maybe GM will then start to remember, from which continent their best cars come...I recommend the Astra GTC, the latest version will be out in 2011, unless GM renovates their lossy US business at the price of the successful European business... ;)

Or a Porsche Panamera? Might make your daughter ask for the car keys then.

2008 Dodge RAM 5.7L Hemi with an open element K&N air intake+filter and a Flowmaster 3" duel exhaust creating 400hp baby! I love my truck!

Edit:
Oh ya, forgot to mention is a 4x4.

We should make bumper stickers that say: my other car's a deltaglider.

(and ones that say HAIL :probe:)

2005 Mazda 6 Classic station-wagon (what else for the family man? :P). Grey, dark tinted windows, 5 speed auto (with a frequently used manual mode), 16" alloys, and Iron Maiden in the six-stacker. Nice car, a good mix of comfy and sporty.

Buy a Opel...

I'd love to buy an Opel. But GM won't sell them here in the US. I'd get one of the new MG's if not for the same reason.

I'm seriously thinking VW, particularly since the new VW plant will be here in Chattanooga (i'm very nearby). But they won't be producing cars yet near the time I'm ready to purchase one.
