I think it would be cool if the space shuttle had a full working computer like the DGIV has.

Try SSU / Space Shuttle Ultra.

Not all functions are implemented, but you can already use it. For getting a working version for Orbiter 2010, you need to compile the current source code or have a friend who can do that.
