No more clues. Just a preliminary work on the table. :hmm:

Looks kinda like the Icarus craft from the movie Sunshine to me. And also looks well-made, I might add.

I'm assuming that when we travel around the solar system for months or years, we need a shield to avoid sun radiation. This design is based on spaceship Antares, from "Defying gravity" TV show, but I must say it won't be the same ship, just a derived one.

State of the art:

I promise this time will be rotating module animations and --maybe-- also an antenna alineation mechanism.

It looks a lot like the Pegasus from Voyage to the Planets, too.

It will, Antares and Pegasus are the same ship. The TV show didn't have the budget for a different design.

Looks promising.
Please add more details to description (size, engine type, etc)
And what about VC this time?

//We all should hail the :probe:

That explains it. I never watched Defying Gravity, so that would be why.

I'm thrilled to see a well-made Pegasus-based ship, though. The last one was...[ame="http://orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=2879"]lacking[/ame].

The fact that this is a derived work (and by the guy who made Longshot) makes it better. :)

Today's progress: some work on cabin and space viewpoint.

Do not expect to have this ship ready for some weeks. It's an exhausting work! :nono:

Preliminary works on airlock design. It will come with airlock door animation.

Situation of forward airlocks. There will be other two rear airlocks.

Greetings, orbinauts! :)

very nice!

If you already have that big thing of a radiation shield, why not fill it with fuel and loose some tanks? it would be more effective as a shield too...

This is just a stub. When I finish all the structure, I must do one or more revisions of each module to texturize and, when possible, to reduce polycount. Let's see how big is the final result...

It's supposed to be a very, very light shield, made just to avoid sun radiation over hab modules. It if were a fuel tank, its weight could make the ship too difficult to navigate.

And I can sure you this baby will be already a nightmare to nameuver in space with no need of a tank-umbrella.
