New Virtual Space Agency!

That would be nice. Our first flight is to be named STS-200. We are adopting a STS-2xx naming system.

That will only be for the initial Shuttle flights.
We will move on later to the DG-IV and XR ships.

And thats only for the manned ships.

What overlapping textures?...logo in the background. That is intentional.

Thanks for helping us.

No problem.
Btw, this is what I see when I visit your homepage on my laptop which runs 1280 x 1024.

The red VOSSA is hidden under your navigation bar.

On my laptop I don't see any of the red letters. They're completely covered.

To prevent any more confusion about this issue, I've changed it so that it is in with the text!:)

Eric, can you make a list of all members and thier posts on the site page?

I've just had a look at your page and on the front page you say that you are going to launch STS-200 this weekend.
I then click on 'Manned spaceflight' to have a look at the preparation details, maybe see a copy of the flight plan, assigned crew, photo of the payload, etc but just a banner saying 'There are no manned spaceflight programs running at this time.'

STS-200 is not set fully yet, we are still planning the module to send up, and planning who is gonna be the pilot etc.
Its written on the home page as we have not set anything yet, right now the mission is just an idea, its just there to show people who visit the site that we are working on missions, and that right now our first goal is to get a station to LEO.
Once we have all the details of the mission ready, EricEvan will post it on the site page for manned spaceflight.

Sorry, No. this shows people that you ARE launching a mission this weekend rather than you MIGHT be. A few words can't show that you are working on a mission. If all you have are idea then share those rather than a specific mission designation.

As an example, This is my idea for a Mars mission. It's still under development -> http://dl.dropbox.com/u/11087477/ISA Mars architecture.pdf <- So you won't find it on the ISA site. Once I know why I'm going to Mars, What I'm going to do en route and when I get there I'll have everything I need to run the missions.

Programmes start with a concept, get fleshed out into a plan then sub divided into missions. As an example, you want a station at 5 degrees inclination so that you can use it to go to the moon. Fair enough. You also want to use only real world vehicles at this time. Also fair enough.

Bring the two together and the only manned vehicle you can use is... none of them because none have the delta-v to do the dog-leg manoeuvre required to get into such a low inclination.

One other thing, On the front page of your site you have a lot of talk about 'Goals to be decided at an unknown future date.' Don't do that. It looks very indecisive. By all means discuss these things in your forum but don't put anything up until you've got a programme otherwise it just looks like you are adding text for the sake of adding text.

Finally, Check the links on the site. many go to a 404.

About midway through this thread I was actually interested in joining as an astronaut. But, as several have pointed out in this thread, ORGANIZATION is key, and I'm not seeing it. On the contrary, it seems EricEvan and Nazban are completely not in agreement regarding flight readiness. One of you says there will probably be a launch at the end of this week. The other says you are nowhere near organized, planning is in the early stages, and launches won't happen until later this month or early next month. I want to see this VSA succeed where others have failed, but guys, I really think you need to pull it together and get a clear direction and plan before you even attach a station module in the payload bay.

My two cents.

To add on to what n122vu said, at the VERY least finish the website BEFORE you start posting recruiting threads.
Seeing a thread titled "Vossa wants you" and then visiting your website to see it's not finished doesn't paint a picture of 'organized' to possible new recruits.

You guys have on the front page Manned Spaceflight: We are currently scheduled to launch our first mission, STS-200, to launch the first module, Luna, of the space station, Polaris this Friday or Saturday.

But if I visit your Manned Spaceflight page, I see THIS PAGE IS UNDER CONSTRUCTION.
How can you launch manned spaceflight missions when that section of your website isn't even complete?
You guys have said you want to include an addon that simulates mission control, but going to the mission control page gives me a 404 error.

In my opinion, you guys are going WAY too fast. Slow down.
Plan everything, complete the website, THEN execute.

We all appreciate your advice and we are going to consider it. We are sincerely thankful for all of your thoughts and advice!

Still confused as to when flights are to begin

and were still deciding that. Maybe sts-200 will be postponed.

Surely your director of manned space flight should be deciding that?

If it's going to be postponed it should be removed from the site.

im not the webmaster for one and two i was announcing that. not deciding it.

You should not see any more pages like that, as I finished the website.

We have decided that it is going to launch this weekend (UTC). Friday in the United States.
