This is a reworked version of the Gemini Space Program for Orbiter 10. I have redone a lot of the interior textures of the capsule, and using spacecraft and Multistage DLL's, redone the scenarios, launches, and orbital work. FULL EVA's and docking are now possible for all Gemini missions.

Requires Spacecraft3.DLL and Multistage2.DLL (included). Also requires Earth_1962 from ESTAR for the scenarios. If unable to obtain, all scenarios will have to be edited to SOL system.

This is my first published add-on. I have tried to make sure every scenario works, and that all missions are able to be completed. I have borrowed many meshes and textures, and have also created and edited some of my own.

Thanks to :

Rob Conley (Estar) - for many of the original Gemini Meshes and textures, especially the Titan Rocket Meshes.

Vinka - for the multistage and spacecraft DLL's

Donamy - for meshes and textures

AR81 - For Orbiter Mesh Wizard

saturn v - For the Launch complexes, Atlas rockets, and scenarios

jekka and MartySpaceLines - For Some of the Meshes and Textures borrowed from MSLJ Gemini

4throck - For textures

Martin Schweiger - For creating orbiter

UPDATE - Updated doc file to include 4throck in the credits, and to clarify some stuff on the Agena

Gemini not showing after loading.

It works fine - at least for the Molly Brown, which is the only flight I have had time to use so far. Are you using the up to date versions of SC3?

My congratulations - the best version of my favourite space program. The VC is probably the best I have seen in any orbiter add-on - sit in there and open the hatch - awesome!

My only (minor) criticism is that the thrusters are all situated on the retrogade section, whilst the real craft had thrusters on the equipment section as well. However I for one can live with that in exchange for all the other fanastic elements. I love your thruster sound in the vc, by the way.

Thanks you for this - great job!

I really appreciate all the hard work that went into this. I like how each mission can be flown. My only issue is with how the RCS is set up. See either the original Gemini add on or Gemini Missions 1.0 for an accurate reference. Otherwise, great job.

It's beautiful, but being spacecraft3 it has its wiggles.

So you have to "jettison" both austronauts before you can jettison the equipment bay? Then how do you use the retrorockets?

This is really great, but I seem to be missing surface tiles, even when using Earth1962,there are alot of empty white spaces.

Just hit numpad5,once,or twice, that fixes the wiggles.:)

I noticed that too. I'm reverting back to default Sol. It solves the tile issue.

Also, earth 1962 has extraneous launch structures in wrong locations.

Earth 1962 doesn't add much given the beautiful launch structures included.

Num pad 5... killrot? what do you mean.

I mean figurative wiggles.

Are you talking about the wiggles after launch?,if so just hit Killrot a few times, and it should stop it.

Oh,I got ya

Seems Like the some of the pads, are missing ramps too.

You don't. (RTFM).

Jettison the equipment bay (J). Then follow the instructions in the manual to use the retro section.

Indeed. The author has used some of the meshes + textures from:

[ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=5141"]http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=5141[/ame]

You can get the missing textures from the link, at least my terrain texture for the pad is one of them. But notice that the new add-on uses duplicate meshes with new textures paths. So pay attention to your paths and configs when fixing this. On my PC I ended up with an elevated rocket in relation to the pad.

Other then that, the add-on is quite enjoyable, with the EVA being a nice addition! :hailprobe:

Thanks 4throck,for the info, and I also agree this a very enjoyable addon, the only thing that would be the icing on the cake is that Saturn V would release his recovery addon for project Gemini.

I didn't see below the key command section, sorry.

But yes, it appears that one must "jettison" astronauts to get the retrorockets.

Also, I've noticed that in the Gemini 6a scenario the orbit of Gemini 7 is too low. 7 burned into circular 300km orbit for the upcoming rendezvous and the long 14 day flight. The Gemini 8 GATV was in a 300km circular orbit as well. I'm not sure about the other flights but I'm sure that they're similar.

For the pad I only did the surface texture and a terrain mesh, that are part of the addon I mentioned ( [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=5141"]GEMINI 4.5 LAUNCH UPGRADE[/ame]
). The author is SaturnV, not me, so you should ask him for permissions...

What I did was simply changing your sc3 config for LC19, making it use the original mesh:

Code:
MESHNAME="LC19HD"

But you should check what happened to your meshes. Perhaps you did some typo in LC19HD when changing the texture paths?
While you are at it, you can also add a no shadow flag to mesh groups, so that the terrain integrates well when viewed using the graphic clients. :)

On my end, I'm completing the VC panels using some reference material I had. You did very well in giving them individual textures.
So in the future there may be a small texture update coming from me.

I'm not that great in judging accurate performance, but discrepancies generally come from incorrect mass in the configs, specially not taking into account the crew or consumables; unaccurate RCS strength and inconsistent data sources.
What's the source of the values used?

Hi - not being picky - just trying to save you messing about. There is no need to jettison the astronauts. With the Gemini selected - hit 'J' to lose the equipment section, then 'J' again to 'dock' the retro section, then select that and you can use the retros. Doesn't seem to be any RCS, but IIRC the real Gemini retro section only had translational thrusters.

Works for me, anyway.
