Space Shuttle Ultra 3.0 released!

Next Revision Please ?

Build your own, if you need one soon. Right now its not enough changes to justify even just a nightly build.

I just want to thank the team for it's incredible work on this,I fired it up last night, and when watching the Discovery launch,I got chills when,I saw the water sound suppression effects,And the shuttle stack teter a little as the SRBs are lit up,and the shuttle is released.BTW,I found a bug with the crawler the LDS,does not work anymore, but it worked great with version SSU2.0.

Hey SSU team what constitutes the burnt ET after SRB seperation?,that doesn't seem to show up anymore like with SSU2.0,is there something you need to add to the scenario,or something like that? Thanks

I think that is not working yet. Eventually we'll get there.

Question for the SSU team: is anyone thinking/planning to release some doc which covers more in depth the mission procedures. Forgive me if I am wrong on this but AFAIK not all the Shuttle GPC and DAP functions are implemented in the current SSU version.
I was wondering if you could upload a small "ops manual" with what is working and what is not (yet) together with some guidance on how to perform orbit insertion, OMS burns, rendezvous burns, docking/undocking, deorbit and reentry.
I know we can use the NASA FDF but a little help would still be much appreciated.

The SSU manual already explains what is working in the DPS. There shouldn't be any major problems if you follow the checklists, as IMO we are missing parts of... basically everything, but I don't think there's anything that is done differently in SSU (except for the adaptations that had to be made for Orbiter of course).
The worst that can happen when following a checklist is it says to flip switch X on panel Y, and that switch doesn't work in SSU. Just skip that step and continue.
In terms of background information on how display Z works, there's a pdf somewhere called "DPS Dictionary" that has very good explanations on how they all work.

Calculating the maneuver data is a small problem, but that can be solved for example by using transx or IMFD. It would sure be cooler if we could provide execute package and maneuver pads in SSU for that.

And I´ll make SSU videotutorials in a near future. Had in mind to do that the past october, but busy weeks here.

Little issue I found when looking at the aft windows while closing the payload bay doors for a sweet reentry:

I thought my window was cracked, but I would be dead

Can you also see this visual error with the payload bay cameras?

I'm pretty sure that's a disconnect between two of the Xo576 bulkhead water cooling lines. The current revision of the orbiter has a number of issues that I didn't have time to fix in time for the 3.0 release.

Can you fix it for the 4.0? Which could still take some months, after all.

No problem. Most of the issues have been fixed already, I just got pulled away by the pad upgrades.

No problem. We have lots of time there for the meshes. Its mostly the code that makes work.

I checked in an updated Orbiter mesh that addresses a number of issues including the one reported by STS with the water cooling lines. Things look good here both in D3D9Client and inline so there shouldn't be any issues.

Can confirm, the bug is now gone. I just wonder if the cooling lines are really that prominent off the bulkhead, as observed.

A while ago I uploaded the STS-33/51L GLS Description Document(GLSDD). It contains GLS operations for KSC and VAFB at the time of the loss of Challenger as well as Centaur Cargo Element (CCE) related GLS operations. I think this one will be quite handy once we get to point of actually implementing the GLS. It can be found here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/sh...es/S9005 - Rev L - STS-33 GLS DD.pdf/download

Yes, I've seen those new documents, thanks! I just didn't have the time to read them. :(

Thank you :) should you find something something about the TFL, especially the fixed TFL used during checkout and launch, let me know. I just (slowly) work on a implementation of the OI, so we can use it for debugging. The technical diagrams are not including the format of the TFL, and the System management software specification does not include the functions for uploading new TFL into PCMMU RAM (this is included in the "Vehicle Checkout Detailed Software Specification" or "VCO DSS").

This might be the wrong place to ask... but,

Where is the array

Code:
[COLOR="Blue"]const double[/COLOR] clBase

actually used.
