I'm using the Aft side station, with the ISS radar test scenario. I entered OPS 201 PRO and I get an illegal entry warning.

This is the screen I have now.

Payload bay.

I'm trying to rendezvous with the Zarya, which is orbiting US side away from Earth. Which is R-bar, I think. I want the bay, to point toward the Russian end before TORVA.

Entering ITEM15 (Pitch) 270 and keeping ITEM 16 and 17 to 0 and then executing the maneuver (ITEM19) should place you on the Rbar with the payload bay pointing at the Station (stationkeeping). Is this what you want to ahieve?

Which buttons on the C2 keyboard exactly ? What order and such ?

Item entry works like that:

You want to toggle a flag or start an action (like MNVR):

ITEM <itemnumber> EXEC

You want to change a single value:

ITEM <itemnumber> (+ or -) value EXEC

Multiple values starting from one item up:

ITEM <itemnumber> (+ or -) value1 (+ or -) value2 (+ or -) value3 (etc) EXEC

So, in this case as Wolf described:

ITEM 15 +270 +0 +0 EXEC

ITEM 19 EXEC

Never mind. I figured it out. I was'nt using the + button to separate the commands.

Nobody said everything was easier in the 80s.

Yes I was confused when the line changed to ITEM (15)

The RCS only works from the left side. They will not operate from any camera views or the RMS side. And I have done 'cntrl + A' for RCS control.

I have a question regarding ISS oritentation regarding its LVLH datum.
Do we have to orientate ISS manually to do the correct TORVA procedure or is ISS already in the right orientation for a R bar approach then RPM and V bar approach on the right docking pod?

SSU is all about the Space Shuttle, not the ISS. So if the ISS is in the wrong attitude, then it is up to you to fix this.

To use the RCS you need to be "near" a RHC and/or THC. When in the CDR and aft pilot stations the user can control the RCS, as those stations have a RHC and a THC. In the pilot seat there's only a RHC, so only rotations work there.
I can't check now, but I think I made the aft station RHC and THC accessible from the RMS station and from the centerline camera position (for docking, just until we get TVs).

That's the way it worked.

I think that RCS control should be restored from the PLB camera views, at least until the CCTV system is fully implemented.

Yes indeed. I doubt we will see CCTV in my life time.

Can SSU shuttle nullify motion with a target ?

If you automatically, then no, neither could the real shuttle.

Hello Guys,

I have another question.
I am working on TAL procedure, I manage to land on Moron and Istres. Data base from SPEC 50 work great.

However, for Zaragoza (item 41+4), I think there is a glitch in the data base. The distance under the ADI for Zaragoza is like 1000Nm too far.
For example, I have Moron selected in Spec 50, distance is 700Nm, I switch to ZZA, distance is almost 2000Nm.

I don't want to get anyones hopes up, or put any pressure on the D3D9 folks, but last year while I was browsing the D3D9 files to make the ADI ball, I noticed some functions that might be what is needed to have the TVs running. I never got around to play with that...

Not sure we have the ZZA base... the available landing sites are in a table in the manual. If it isn't there, then the latitude and longitude are both 0.
Also, of the runways we have, most aren't leveled yet, so landing might not be easy.
