RCS and DAP development

Should be doable. Any suggestions for a target release date?
Is October 10 doable? I'm thinking of the following items:

-PDRS displays and controls
-All MDUs, including the aft ones(R11 CRT4) and the MDU that's in between A1 and Window 9.
-Rudimentary support of the FSS/RSS
-Correct payload bay door operations
-Working MET timers
-And maybe the Purge, Vent and Drain system?

Don't forget the parachute !!;)

If we're going to release it by Oct. 10, I'd like to have all the work finished and start testing around Oct. 1. I don't think there'll be time to do anything with the PDRS stuff. I think most of the MET timers are already working. I can get the MDUs working pretty quickly. Should the MDU between A1 and the window be the same as the other MDUs or is it different?

Regarding the other systems, it really depends on how much you want simulated. There probably won't be time for the Purge, Vent and Drain system, but we might be able to do the other stuff.

The aft MDU is the same as the rest, no different. For the PLBDs, just the correct SM display with most commands working.

Is there any way to take manual control on RCS?

Manual Mode - for exampled, like in DeltaGlider. When I press Numpad2, vessel rotates.

Why don't you try it? Or better yet, read the GNC systems chapter of the SCOM? SSU do require you to read up on the various systems and how they work.

Ok. I just read whole paragraph about DAP, and I still can't gain manual cotrol on RCS jets :/ There is something like RHC and THC, but I don't know what is this.
Please give me some small tip how to do this after two OMS burns.

Which scenario are you using? Just commanding the DAP should be enough to downmode it from AUTO to INRTL. Shuttle crews frequently does this during entry by simply nudging the RHC.

AUTO = DAP tries to maintain a specific attitude set in MM201 UNIV PTG.
INRTL = DAP tries to maintain a specific inertial attitude as commanded by manual RHC inputs
RHC= Rotational Hand Controller, a joystick used to control the orbiter's rotational orientation
THC = Translational Hand Controller, a joystick that can be moved in 3 dimensions for translational manuevers.

Hint: You have these nice matrices of buttons on C3 and the aft flight deck. These not only contain "AUTO" but also "INRTL", "LVLH" and "FREE".

Below this, you also see a label "MANUAL MODE".

So: Im using scenario from Space Shuttle Ultra/Historic Missions/STS-126/STS-126 launch.scn
When loaded last saved game and when switched to INRTL, I still can't fire RCS jets. But no matter. Tomorrow I'll create my own scenario and I'll test it. Today is little bit too late.

Urwumpe: I read about all those modes in SCOM :)

Thank's for your help.

Seems like there was problem with missing lines for the RCS prop. Fixed now, perform an update on the Scenarios folder to get the updated launch scenario.

What about adding the following work item to the plans for the post-1.25 releases:

- A scenario file verifier.

I can't get the CRTs or CRTMFD to work properly.

1. I can turn them on, but some of them are hard to find the right area to put the cursor to change screens.

2. The keypads have no affect on the CRTs and I made sure I have the correct switches set.

3. Clicking on the MFD buttons themselves bring up the boxes for OPS and SPEC but when I enter the info required, it has no affect on the CRT screen. The ITEM box does not come up.

4. The labels are visible from the MS2 position when the MFDs are turned off.

Are these bugs, or am I missing something.

Can fix this (finally). But I would prefer combining this with adding the correct depth of the MDU into the mesh, so we only need to correct my error once.

The keypads currently send their data to the IDPs. Have tested it, but the verified inputs don't reach the GPCs or the CRT software.

Yes - linked to 2.

4. The labels are visible from the MS2 position when the MFDs are turned off.

Not sure.
