    Humor Random Comments Thread

Excluding bars and the like, where do you go to meet people, and how would one find these places. I'm asking because that seems to be the only thing around here. That can't be all there is, but I can't seem to find anything else.

    Hardware Oculus Rift and Orbiter

It works, I've used it in-game and everything works perfectly fine, except for the head-tracking.

    Hardware Oculus Rift and Orbiter

Someone figured out how to get the Oculus Rift and KSP to work using Vireio Perception and I am wondering if someone has got it to work in Orbiter. I've been messing around with it for a while without success. :compbash2:

I guess I didn't ever really do any fact checking. The engineers say that, the pilots (including military pilots) say that, it is even mentioned in the movie "Big Miracle".

:woohoo: I've got an interview for the position of Configuration Engineer at Erickson Air-Crane today, manufacturer of the most powerful civil heavy-lift helicopter ever. Wish me luck. An interesting fact: the S-64 Aircrane can out-climb an F-14 Tomcat, and sounds great doing it...

    Humor Random Comments Thread

Should There Be A "Random Questions" Thread? Once in a while I come across something about spaceflight or something that leaves me asking a question, but it is something small that does not warrant adding another thread, so I propose adding a "Random Questions" thread to Math and Physics...

    Speed of gravity?

What About Dark Flow Dark flow exerpt "[T]he matter causing the net motion is outside [the visible universe]" This would suggest that gravity is FTL, since it travelled to some galaxies before the light did, and travelled the rest of the way as light ahead of the light emitted by the source...

    Rant Need for back ups

IT Advice I've found it to be significantly better to separate the OS and Virtual memory, and the other files onto separate disks. it significantly improves performance, and would make this sort of problem easier to work with. Also, the drive that has the Virtual Memory will be used a lot...

To expand on Sitha's response, you can make a texture where color modifies the color of the reflection and brightness modifies the reflectivity and call it [file-name]_refl.dds

Myth Dispelled: HST can observe the moon

http://what-if.xkcd.com/32/ the HST can take a look at the Moon, the gyroscopes can barely keep up, and since the HST is designed to look at distant objects, it is very farsighted. Any image of the Moon would not be of great quality, and the Earth would be just a blur. :ninja:'d, why didn't...
