Thanks for the response, but I'm still a bit unclear.
Let's take an example--if I wanted to bind WASD to my RCS thrusters, and I update the default keymap.cfg by changing what the "D" key does, the XR2 manual states that D controls "Next MultiDisplayArea Mode" specifically for the XR2.
In...
Hey all!
I'm able to edit the keymap.cfg, but when I test a scenario with the XR2, it seems that there are some keys, unique to XR2 functions, that override my keymap.cfg edits.
Anywhere know if there is a file where you can remap keyboard commands specifically for the XR2?
Thank you!
Hey all!
I added a few more questions to the bottom of my Apollo 8 FAQ. Could you help with responses on the ones that have an "N" in column 1?

Hey all!
What does the "F" on a checklist line indicate? Example: "F 04 26"
I assumed it meant to key in VERB 04 NOUN 26......but when the auto-checklist is running, it doesn't seem to do anything on these lines.
So I've been working my way through Apollo 8 and am about 4:30:00 GET in. Everything going well so far after a bit of research, and then "bam" - P23 Cislunar Navigation. I'm lost, even after reading up on it a bit.
Think you could add that to your list of videos? I'm stuck until I can get...
Those are awesome resources, I hadn't seen Volume II before.
MrFickles - I will patiently and appreciatively wait until you produce your next video, and then I'll once again post up a slew of questions to supplement.
I'm very pleased with how this is coming together!
Awesome Thymo, thank you!
I'm not sure if this is the best method yet, but perhaps it can evolve to a useful document for the community, capturing a bunch of Q&A about a mission at their appropriate timestamps.
Ok, so I watched the video in detail and started capturing the questions that I, as a beginner, still have after watching.
Perhaps if you continue to create videos, I'll continue to generate questions/answers and this can help supplement the videos for a fuller understanding of what's going on...
Ah, I had no idea. I guess that's why a start-to-finish "demo" session is impractical. Thanks for opening my eyes.

The video you posted was helpful to me. It's got more information in it then what I've seen on YouTube so far, in...
Indy91/McFickles - Awesome that you both are willing to share your experience with us novices. We very much appreciate it.
I think what makes most sense is doing a video of a fly-through of a mission only covering the "manual"/yellow checklist items. This can at least get people "up and...
So I LOVE the enthusiasm from everyone...now...anyone willing to share their knowledge?
I'm 45 minutes into the Apollo 7 scenario...that's literally it for me. Someone here has for sure completed these missions!
We need you!
And really, its that last thing I want to start with and work backwards up the chain.
I'd like to have a training session watching someone actually fly a mission as a starting point.
meik84 - Maybe all this interest from the beginners will be the right amount of motivation :) Keep in touch if you're interested in helping out.
thammond - Yeah, great point. I almost see training as a level-by-level approach.
At the highest level, something like "Orbital Mechanics 101"...
Agreed Grumman. Definitely an opportunity to use a session like this to create training material. I'm thinking community volunteers (I'd be willing to help) could take the information provided, then cut it down into topical chunks, etc.
Either way, it begins with us finding someone kind...
