    General Question Mission Control Simulation

I am working on this. I have already had this running for some time - using an older simulator I wrote. See http://vsfl.wireos.com/ (the simulation server is down at the moment though). This is a whole new simulation - I've been recently working on the new physics engine and tools to make...

Screenshots for Orbiterwiki: Any contributions welcome!

Did not like Loru's logo. Here's my constructive criticism of his logo: 135 px: 135 px alternate (circle doesn't really work well here): (it just follows his sketch)

Poll How many languages do you speak?

Yes, I can travel into many countries and experience no language barriers. I speak Ukrainian, English, Russian (with no issues whatsoever). I can understand Polish, Belarusian well (but not speak them), and I can understand many slavic languages with some trouble. Too much stuff already written...

Advanced Question bad alloc on calling oapiLoadMeshGlobal

That's one of kinds of memory corruption. I'm mostly talking about that kind of memory corruption (not literally fault in memory chips).

Advanced Question bad alloc on calling oapiLoadMeshGlobal

Bad allocation errors you cannot figure out almost certainly point to memory corruption somewhere. Check for that. Memory corruption is more likely than randomly running out of RAM (without intent to allocate gigabytes of data).

    Tilting at Launch

The rockets are often tilted by a few degrees (standing at 85 deg or so) if they are required to clear the pad in specific way, or if it somehow helps the guidance system to avoid transients (oscillation of the flight angle) after it's separated from the pad.

A boost for quantum reality: the wave function is real!

The perception in middle of your vision (+- 10 degrees) and to the sides is different. Details are perceived mostly in the middle, while motion and sudden changes in brightness are perceived mostly in edges of your vision (it's a good thing to know when avoiding obstacles). Sudden eye motions...

    VSFL (Virtual SpaceFlight Network)

This is something I'm working on. It's not yet open to public (lots of techncial things to solve), but it should go public in summer. Sorry if wrong forum. VSFL Network is an online flight network oriented for the aerospace engineers and generally highly detailed complicated flight. There are...

    SSI-1 "Elettra" mission

I have a question, was it a fully automated, partially automated, or a manual flight?

    OHM Basic Collision Detection

A fast and neat solution is to approximate the collision model of any shape with many spheres.

    Project X-Space

Some updates to the project. I've started work on an additional feature that might be interesting to Orbiter users (though... a different project of mine might make it even more interesting, see below) - radio transmission simulation, including transmission through the server (between the...

    Project X-Space

Ah no sorry, you misunderstood the post. It's not a planned orbiter addon, it's an X-Plane addon which is already working (most of it*), I just decided to port it over to Orbiter. To stop people suggesting Orbiter on X-Plane forums - so they can just use both simulators equally. Most of it* - I...

They are assumptions of what usually happens when you fly over the network

    Project X-Space

In my view the X-Plane flight simulator has a great potential to become a true aerospace simulator: it already calculates physics (not talking about their realism though) for arbitrary aircraft at subsonic and supersonic speeds, but it had some issues with space flight. For example the...
