I always thought it would be great if there were a space simulator which melded the realism of Orbiter, with the expansiveness of Space Engine, and perhaps even the creativity of KSP.

I just had a few questions about Apollo 13.
First, could their lunar module still have theoretically landed on the Moon? I'm guessing no, because they'd have to use the command module engine to brake into Lunar orbit. However, what if the command module engine worked? I assume they still would...
1) Docked 2 DGIV's together about a 2500 feet above Earth.
2) Replaced Venus with Jupiter (you could actually make out the planet pretty well from Earth)
3) Attempted a DGIV Earth reentry without a cockpit canopy. The ship actually started burning up for a good few minutes before exploding...
I've been having this same exact issue, except with the Total Immersion version of the Shuttle PB. Basically, it works just fine in the normal Orbiter client, but with D3D9, it crashes and reports an error message similar to the one posted by the OP.

However, this actually seems to be an unrelated issue.
For me, the HUD only appears "double" when seen "mid-deck." From either the Commander or Pilot's seat it looks fine. I tried on a clean install, and it did the same thing. So maybe...

I guess I wouldn't even mind moving over to SSU fully. But it's my understanding that certain things, like a full reentry, can't really be done realistically?
Hmm... I'm guessing the SSU cockpit is smaller than the default cockpit?
Is there no way around this, even if it means replacing the entire Shuttle Fleet mesh with that of the SSU one? Or would that just create additional problems?
