    Orbiter Screenshot Thread

Yes, I did those steps and it shows up when I click the image icon on the reply-area. But when I click on the image itself, nothing happens. I've tried it on three different machines and with several browsers.

    Orbiter Screenshot Thread

I seem to be totally failing any attempts at attaching a screenshot. Are the instructions from the first page of the thread no longer valid?

    Flight Question Entry angle

Ah, so I didn't know even as much as I thought I did. Can't say I'm too surprised... So how do I know the proper entry angle for the spacecraft I'm flying? I assume that that information is usually included in the documentation. And thank you for the information about IMFD, I probably should...

    Flight Question Entry angle

This is a pretty embarrassing n00b question for someone who's been flying Orbiter for years, but it's better to ask than to be baffled. What baffles me most is re-entry. I know the basics and I can do a successful re-entry with DanSteph's DG-IV, but that's about it. My problem with any other...

    Request VLC MFD

I don't know if this has been requested to death, so my apologies if it has. As we all know, quite a lot of our time in Orbiter is spent waiting for the next thing to happen (especially when talking about people like me who don't use time acceleration). A lot of the time there simply is nothing...

    Orbit Hangar Mods Site Update

I'll just add to the chorus of thanks and kudos. The site was already the best addon site for any simulator around, but this takes it to another level. Seems to work faster too, which is great.

    First Interplanetary Trip

If I had a dedicater Orbiter machine, I might go for a trip to Mars as well. But six months is a bit too long when I can't run it 24/7. And yes, I know there is time acceleration, but I don't use it out of principle.

    My Greatiest accomplishment in Orbiter!

Mine was orbiting the moon with NASSP. I know it's not much and I've done more advanced stuff since, but at the time it was such a huge deal that it still remains the greatest in my book.

How to build a space station?

I've seen on the forums that a lot of people are building their own space stations and that sounds like something that I'd like to give a go at as well. Now, the problem isn't the flying. I know how to do that pretty well, especially in LEO. The problem is that of payloads and game saves. I...

China to launch first mission with spacewalk in October

I firmly believe that they'll ramp up the pace considerably once they get the basics covered. I think I've even read that they've announced plans to do that. They have the money and the will and once the Orion starts launching, they'll feel the pressure if they plan to make this into a...

    STS 125 Updates

I'd have to agree. The scientific value of it might not always be as high as the more specialized satellites and telescopes that take pictures outside the human vision, but I firmly believe that the space program needs good PR to keep it alive as well and I think the HST has been in the same...

    Funny ooops moments

About a year ago I was doing an experimental flight with DGIII. The idea was to complete an orbit that had an apogee of 500.000 km. Simple enough to make the burn and make sure that the moon wasn't going to get in the way. And then I waited. The orbit took 14.7 days to complete and since I...

What do you do in Orbiter?

I do these things mainly: 1) LEO flights with Shuttle Fleet to ISS. 2) Easy LEO flights to ISS with DGIV 3) Experimental flights with DGIV 4) NASSP as realistically as possible What limits me a bit is that I'm a bit of a "purist" when it comes to simulators, so I never accelerate time. That...
