I am interested in starting to develop addons for Orbiter and was thinking of doing something simple like a payload to get started. But I have no idea where to start. Do i need to do any kind of programming? What modeling program is best to use for Orbiter?

I was heading to Venus and I wanted to Aerobrake into orbit to save fuel, so I looked on the Internet to check the height of the Venusian atmosphere which was 250km, so I set my Venusian PeA at 200km but it had no effect. What altitude does you PeA have to be to perform an Aerobrake on Venus...
