OK...So I tranferred the whole Orbiter 2016 directory from the laptop where everything runs perfect to the offensive desktop; and the desktop still has the same problems with any saved space_X scenarios that were saved after 1st-Stage Separation. If I save a scenario prior to 1st stage sep, I...
Thank you all. Will try side by side of files on laptop and desktop when able.
Brian J--yes I tried on an install w/o D3D9 and w/o sound.
Here's log after crash; and, after that, a quicksave that caused a crash when I tried to run it. The quick save was scenario: NROL76 launch(LC39A LZ1...
I am using Orbiter 2016, D3D9ClientR4.11, Orbiter Sound 5.0, lc39a_space_x, Falcon9_2016. Running any scenarios from falcon 9 addon...any quicksaves after 1st stage separation can't be run. This while using desktop. I even re-downloaded all zips and re-installed. Works fine on laptop with a...
What about the re-boost. I didn't see anything about it on NASA. Did it happen and what's the new orbit? The amount of re-boost was supposed to be dependent on Atlantis' available fuel according to the press kit.
David,
Thanks so much for the updated packs. I've never tried the version with the Hi-Res KSC add-ons and they are really great. I had one problem with FD1 launch. My orbit ended up with a rinc of 5 degrees from that of HST. I was still able to catch up with it but only have about 6% fuel...
Great Project!
I've always liked Stephen Baxter's ability to draw real characters and have a believable mix of accurate technology, historical connections, and exciting plot. Voyage is one of my favorites that I've been meaning to go back and read again. I downloaded and got the Ares to orbit...
If your'e using David's Fleet, the GPCMFD (I believe its OPS 2) has a screen that shows it. If your'e using Space Shutlle Ultra, OPS 201 shows the same information. If you're using stock Shutlle Atlantis, you can download the Univeral Pointing MFD from OrbitHangar and get the same info of it...
Donamy--Hope to do a tuturial once I get my results to be a bit more consistent.
C3PO--Thanks for the SSUltraCalc. Still trying to find time to try it. Life keeps getting in the way.
TBLAXLAND--I think IMFD compensates for the burn at node by giving a "time to Burn" that is adhead of the...
SSU setting up plane allignment.
OK, I'm back with a process that I'd like comments on from anyone familiar with IMFD. I've launched and arrived in orbit with a needed plane change of 1.4 degrees obtained from the align planes mfd. I open IMFD 5.1 and go to the map program where I set up the...
That was the first night landing I followed on NASA TV and was amazed at the exhaust/venting from the APU units until they were shut down. What I'm wondering is why I've not ever seen them during night launches since APU's are on before launch, or is that they're masked by all the floodlights...
Thanks everyone. I used the equation mfd to get the DV and converted it from mps to feet per second to put into the MM202 of the CRT MFD. I put the whole thing into the Y axis (item 19) if I remember right. I did a rough calculation on the burn time from the info in the Allign planes mfd and...
DaveS, Thanks, but I guess I didn't phrase my question well. I know what kind of data is required for CRT data entry; I just don't know how to obtain deltaV in 3 axes so I can enter it. If I need to do a 1 degree plane change, how do I get the deltaV in x,y,z. Similar questions for raising pe...
