It seems as if many textbooks say that the path of a thrown object is a parabola, and fail to mention it is in fact an elipse with one focus at the center of the earth. I have not yet seen a single textbook in which anything is mentioned of the fact that a parabola only very closely estimates...

When you see license plates you immediately think of orbiter related TLA's to match the three letters on the license plate

I somehow got a CTV-LEO to the ISS in about 1 orbit... Wasn't planning it but worked out that way
