Every once in a while I hear a calculator program for orbiter mentioned. I have a ti89 and I was wondering where I could get one of these programs.

I was reading The Last Man On The Moon where Gene Cernan describes the trail of fire, left behind by the rocket, overtaking the capsule from the expansion of gasses when stages seperate. I think it would be a cool addon if somebody would be able to embody this in orbiter.

Thats happened to me before. The MFD is wierd like that. Once you get up to a certain DeltaV in the HTO it reverses everything for some reason.

So since the two components are being separated does this mean that there will be collision models?

How can they be the same thing in the first place?

Sorry if this is in the wrong section but I was just wondering about the progress on the new version of orbiter. I've seen the new planet textures but I was wondering when it will be coming out and what it will feature.

You want to time your TLI burn so that you are in a retrograde orbit when you reach the moon. The reason being is that when you do your deorbit burn your orbit relative to the moon will increase as your orbit relative to the earth decreases. Here's a diagram to help you out.

I use the TransX a lot. The manual says you can calculate your ejection burn time but I have no idea about how to do that. Instead I guess and I end up waaaay off from my target. Please tell me how to calculate an ejection burn or at least give me a link to somewhere that I can find out. Thanks.
