Flight Question How to launch to reach an specific orbit?

Thank you for your help guys. Azimut Calculator looks to be better than Space Calculator V2 because this one shows answers about -88º and the first one a northerly azimut. Anyway the option proposed by kamaz was my first thought but it is not the way I thing it should be. I supose that for...

Flight Question What's the optimum altitude for SCRAM engines

Interesting. I am reaching 65Km at Mach 18.2 burning about 20% of main fuel and about 2% of SCRAM fuel remaining. I think it is a good efficiency climb. (With XR1 of course)

Flight Question What's the optimum altitude for SCRAM engines

SCRAM ascent with XR1 I am flying the XR1 and just reaching Mach 18 at 63Km the temperature at SCRAM engines reach the operational limit. At 62Km the performance drops spectaculary. Is it possible to go faster or/and higher?

Flight Question Real docking to ISS

Lots of new acronyms for my level and I have to study it a little more.:) Anyway, as I understand, both ships must be on LVLH and an Attitude MFD (as "autopilot") is needed for that. If not the station will be changing the attitude constantly. Is this correct? Is TORVA maneuver the change...

Hello again. I had been training and now I am able to launch the XR1 to ISS and meet with it where I want (aproximately) but for docking I have problems due to rotational movement of the ISS. I learned here to stop the rotation turning it prograde during the docking phase but I would like to...

Flight Question Launch window. When? and why?

I didn´t check the plane option in the Map MFD and I was using only the path mode. Thats why I couldn't understand the numbers. I am going to start to practice checking the time to climb and using it for a better launch. Thank you for your help!

Flight Question Launch window. When? and why?

Hello. I am a new member in this forum and I had been reading a lot of post and tutorials before to ask this question but I didn't find the answer. Basically the launch window to reach the ISS is when the orbital plane is close to the launch site and the azimuth is about 43º or 140º from Cape...
