I am by no means an expert, but it looks like you have a good system. I just checked my Orbiter executables. I have them set to run as "admin". Perhaps that would help?

I thought they were ShuttleFleet4.8 files, but I didn't see anything in the documentation about them. I don't see the download in any of my folders, and I don't see it in the Generic Mod list. Not a big deal. But thank you! The only real reason I want to do it is to avoid screwing around...

So I have a few moments before putting my lamb on the grill, so I decided to bring my XR5 back from Venus. I fire up Orbiter, launch my scenario, and was greeted with "We wish you a merry Christmas" on Orbiter Sound. LOL I wonder if there are any other little surprises in there.

Ran a search and didn't see anything along this line (not that I could post to with the "necroposting" rule being invoked, anyway). I like using the joystick and slider throttle for space flight, not just atmospheric, but there isn't a native way that I could see to map functions to buttons...

Two questions that may help others with more experience answer: Is your difficulty specific to those two scenarios? Or is it a difficulty in re-entering with the stock Shuttle, and then perhaps not scenario specific? Everything I've read here indicates that the aerodynamic model on the stock...

I don't think so, unless perhaps you're already in orbit at the time. Every time I've tried to use the Fleet in 2016, the vessel falls forward on the launch pad and journeys to the center of the earth. I suppose with enough fuel we could make it out the other side of the planet.

Thanks for the welcome, all! Figured there'd be a few from north Alabama around these parts. Can't believe I'd been a flight simulator fan for so long before stumbling across the Orbiter section in Simviation. Quickly becoming addicted.
