The Rag Tag Fleet Star Gate 2006P1 Editon was inspired by the Star Gate transportation system as seen in the TV series Star Gate. The RTF gate takes much of its inspiration from the newest TV series Star Gate Universe. Although inspired by SGU the RTF gates have very little in common with the gates on the TV series. The two biggest differences are that you can have as many gates has you wish as close together as you wish and you can very easily add gates to planets, stations, ships or just have them floating in space.
So what good are they? Well that is really left to your imagination. The Gates will transport you to new locations regardless of distance. Any object classified as a "vessel" including UMMUs can be transported. Even ones that don't fit into a gate. Unlike the TV series gates which you have to walk into our gates have the ability to transport any transportable object that is within an easily adjustable range. 
Gates are fully animated to turn and act like the gates on the TV show.
Two methods to dial the gate are provided. A Pop-up which can be used with vessels and UMMUs and an MFD for vessels.**Note**
