After getting "serious" again with Orbiter after a few months I noticed that I'm still running R11c. I never installed R12 until now.
Anyway, I just had to revert back to R11c because I still get the old flickering issue.
The posts describing the issue are just before the R12 release post...
Which HST is that, and where do I get the reflections? I'm testing SSU right now with my own fictional deployment mission and this would be a nice addition.
That was a lovely first complete flight (STS-126, 8 hours, no docking)!
Once in orbit I powered up the RMS and grappled the OBSS to move it around.
I still have to get used to the controls so I moved the arm to quite extreme joint angles trying to point the OBSS at the Orbiter's nose.
It looks...
Big . That worked! :thankyou:
Looks like I can test a whole mission now. I already had some vertical-dive-into-ground-on-final-approach situations while correctly set up for manual control, I'll take a closer at that look now.
The only other things I noticed so far, both in my usual...
I don't know what happened, but I suddenly can't get to OPS 2, I was perfectly able to do that for a few flights. I started with the r1545 "Launch test.scn":
Here is STS-101 after the OMS 2 burn. I used the old r1442 "Flight Checklists.doc" and the official post insertion checklists but can't...
:(. Well. We'll never know when the next one's coming. That's the great thing about comets.
But certainly sad for the far northern hemisphere, it seems comets prefer the souther sky. I hoped my grandfather would get some great shots in Norway, he already has hundreds of breathtaking images of...
The area around the star tracker seems to look quite strange at certain sun angles. Any screenshot required or is that something to be fixed with the new Orbiter mesh?
And what is the correct format to enter the TIG for the OMS burns? Right now I'm always following the ET into the ocean because...
Avsim has a 50% sale as well.
Anyway, time to reinstall and update and see what happens now that the minimum RAM requirement exceeds my 4 GB...
The KA-50 will stay in the hangar for now to save disk space. Helicopters CAN'T fly when I am flying them.
 So it doesn't sound like a neighbour using a hammer? I often am so close to yell at them just to find out it's the British Army having fun in the Senne (military training area some 20 kilometers away from here).
The Avherald article has been updated with results of first Flight Data Recorder readouts.

A security video just uploaded on RT's youtube channel which I prefer not to post here shows a nearly dive with a horrible explosion.
Looking at the strobes the video seems to be slowed down a bit, so I don't really know how fast the plane was.
:hesaid:
Now don't kill him Sun, or I'll always sleep from sunrise to sunset :P
Weather seems to hate me right now, I went back to bed this morning after seeing clouds covering the horizon.
The IRC channel thing is a good idea.
Would someone be interested in FS Economy? That would be the closest thing to a "Multiplayer FSPassengers" I know.
http://www.fseconomy.net/
They also have a group feature.
https://sites.google.com/site/fseoperationsguide/groups
That would be quite close...
