I just tried that (i did have Direct3D T&L HAL) and it did fall off. It started ~45, then went to ~8....- Haun

it is a lap top (asus N80Vn to be exact.) but for me it seems like the fan is always spinning when i play games Also it did have fair fps then it would fall off, but now its more consistently low.
