My simple simpit with 2 Android tablets + phone

Cool thanks for your reply. I like lots of numbers and buttons to push in my spaceships and airplanes. I just posted two more pictures from a different angle with the hopefully final set of MFDs I used / will use for the Arrow. They show the Arrow coming in for an ugly off-angle Mars...

My simple simpit with 2 Android tablets + phone

This is the second simple simpit I have come up with. The first used a secondary monitor laid out almost flat in front of the big one and Autohotkey to move all the external MFDs to the right position. This is a little more work to set up for each flight but in the end you get an F35-like...

Internet IAEA site has been hacked (and quickly restored)

That is the default page for the Apache web server on some Unix distributions. Probably just maintenance.

Flight Question Mars trip and encounter speed

Thanks for that tip. I tried a probe using 7.5km/s dv from Earth instead and got an encounter speed of around 20km/s. That mostly makes sense if you add the orbital speed difference between planets, the speed to get there, and gravity from mars speeding you up towards the end of the trip. I...

    Problem Payload Calculation Problem

I have had a similar problem with Velcro rockets that was driving me crazy after an Orbiter restart. Sometimes the rockets will fill back up with fuel instead of using the prplevel as defined in the scn file. What I ended up doing was copying the config file, editing, renaming, and referencing...

Flight Question Mars trip and encounter speed

I have 2 orions docked together along with alot of extra landers, fuel, oxygen and supplies. I have been building it all there for a long time now. As to why, it seems like radiation and EMP would be less of a concern all the way out there and I though it would be more fun too. Maybe I will...

Flight Question Mars trip and encounter speed

I am about to launch a fast manned mission to mars and am still coming up short of fuel in my calculations. I want to do a fairly straight trip using about 10km/s dv. This will be from lunar orbit so it will be pretty fast. I am leaving around December 11 this year so the planets are...

    Updates STS-133 Updates

I saw it too. They were very high when the debris came off so maybe it was not affected too much by the air and accelerated by drag. It did look to come off fast though.

    TransX Graphics Glitch

I had this happen as soon as I brought up the appr/dock mfd. I had opened it before on the same flight with no trouble but the second time seemed to cause the bug. I was using the appr/dock mfd on extmfd at the time. Maybe all this is a clue.

    Project Enhanced Orion 20m (Update 3 - Feb 15)

I was hoping someone would bring this up. I start to fire mine a little lower than starfish and the yield on this at 100% looks like something in the 5-10 kt range. Much less powerful than Starfish Prime. That is just a guess though. Maybe someone else will speculate. I can probably even...

    Project Enhanced Orion 20m (Update 3 - Feb 15)

This is really nice so far, good job. The download was slow for me though. Looks like Ark beat me to posting a launch design and/or idea. I had the same idea just to fling it up above the ocean where it would not cause as much emp damage. So far I have come up with a semi-economical launcher...

    OHM CameraMFD

Thanks for your response. I have that file in the Orbiter folder and moving it out does not make a difference either. It appears that CameraMFD is incompatible with 64 bit Windows.

    OHM CameraMFD

I wanted to update the status of this add-on. Error code 14001 with Orbiter 2010 in Windows XP 64 or Windows 7 64 with C++ 2005 redistributable SP1, C++ 2008 redistributable and C++ 2010 Redistributable all installed. Dependency Walker on Windows XP 64 shows missing msvcp80.dll and msvcr80.dll...

    Problem AA Missile Debug Thread

After more testing I found some incompatibility with Orulex. Specifically: Orulex Enabled: Earth / Ground - Ok Earth / Flight - Crash Moon / Ground - Crash Moon / Flight - Crash Sometimes instead of a crash, the game will freeze with corrupted graphics or the spacecraft will be thrown off...

    OHM WebMFD

Thanks for that file. It is slightly different from the others I downloaded. I still get the same blank MFD though. My exact steps on a clean Orbiter installation: 1.unzip folder to the orbiter sdk samples directory 2.open project in visual studio 2010 professional 3.clean project 4.build...

    OHM AA-Missile 0.98

Sorry to be so unspecific in my last post. The default scenarios work almost perfectly for me. The only crashing that I can get with the current version is when the config file is setup incorrectly for the spacecraft I am trying to use. To be even more clear I have no problems myself I am...

    OHM WebMFD

Yeah this is a strange problem. The released version (the one on OH) worked fine aside from the random lockups. I have tested with Chromium 6.0.472 on FreeBSD and Chrome 9.0.597 on Windows 7. One reason I asked is the treezip is the same size and filename between branches. "master"...
