Yes.
Surface elevation box is checked and it is Orbiter 2016. MD5 Checksum matches the files I downloaded.
1. Is there some particular altitude that shows the hires textures?
2. Strangely, my last screen shot shows the same ground only more textured. I don't know what I did to get this.
Thanks Ripley.
I will check the downloaded files.
And answers to my other questions?
2. The area I am looking at is directly around Olympus base and proceeding over towards Olympus Mons and beyond to the left in the canyon areas. Altitudes 500 to 2000 meters and up to 45,000 m.
3. When I...
Hi there,
1. What is the MD-5 check?
2. The area I am looking at is directly around Olympus base and proceeding over towards Olympus Mons and beyond to the left in the canyon areas. Altitudes 500 to 2000 meters.

Hi there,
Following the installation directions, I have installed the new Mars hires textures in the Texture/Mars/Archive folder and made the changes to the Mars.cfg but I do not see any changes in the Mars surface.
Any ideas what I can do to fix this. Is there anything else to do...
Hello!
Is there any way to get rid of the surface texture seam lines I see when orbiting Venus or entering the atmosphere? Orbiter 2016.
See screenshot lower left area for seam. You may need to expand screenshot.
Thank you.
Hi There!
Turtle 91 Thank you!
I thought I had created the symbolic links, but after I rechecked and did it, the Gettysburg loaded just fine.
Wonderful.
I will try the other ships I have been having problems with and let you all know.
Many thanks.
Hi there,
I have installed the last 4 Star trek ships into Orbiter 2016 / D3D9 and none of them load, but cause an Orbiter has stopped working message.
Most of my other 2016 ships work just fine. Even all of the Altea Aerospace's.
I have installed them both with Jones...
Hi there,
Some of the ships I have that work in Orbiter 2010 work just fine in Orbiter 2016 and some of them do not.
I am thinking especially of those by John Marcure.
And strangely I cannot get any of the ships by Trekkie for Orbiter 2016 to load without a CTD.
1. Is there a...
Thank you for the instructions.
Yes, I see how that works,
But I am perplexed about how to set Location, State Vectors, and Orientation.
1. Do I have to fill in all of these number elements? The numbers keep changing on my primary ship / station so quickly.
2. Is there a quick simple way to...
Hi there,
I need some help adding multiple ships to appear at the same time in the same scenario.
I knew how to do this in Orbiter 2010, but I must be missing something in Orbiter 2016 because when I open up the Scenario editor, I can add ships to the choice list but it only gives me...
Yes, I am using D3D9.
Yes, I clicked the link button.
See attached Orbiter log.
I continue to get error message when I try to load space ships. I just tried StarTrek 1 and Rag Tag Fleet Star City. They won't load.
Thanks,
jb
Yes, thank you for mentioning that.
I did make the change.
Would some one please post a screen shot of the microtex clouds looking straight down, so that I could compare what I am seeing to what the addon should look like?
Thanks,
jb
The planet hi res textures are just fine. It is the clouds looking straight down that are terrible.
I used JSGME to extract the files and also tried a manual extraction.
1. Where in the launcher does one set to higher level planet textures?
The micro tex or high res clouds are definitely...
The config folder in modules/server has many other folders and files. Am I supposed to delete all of that and just have a config folder with the spacecraft folder inside?
Is that going to mess with other stuff?
And perhaps you could explain what is it that I am doing and why?
Thank you,
jb
What is Modules/Server and where is it?
