You're probably right!
I'll give that a go.
Thanks!

Hrm. Nope.
But maybe I'm doing this wrong.
I cp'd my standard Orbiter 2016 files from the .zip to a directory.
I did an SVN checkout in another directory...
Latest/greatest SVN checkout of Orbiter Beta.
I'm attempting to follow the steps laid out on the NASSP 8 Installation site.
0) Microsoft VS C++ 2017 Redistributable (x86) Package installed. <Check>
1) Installed Orbiter Beta <Check> It's installed to my D:, but that shouldn't matter, unless it...
You're confusing present tense with past tense.
I wanted a question answered.
I really don't care so much anymore. To the point where I'm not even going to bother finishing this sente
I too had the entire shuttle fleet working with all those addons. On a different computer. In 2006. Hell, if you can reproduce that, awesome! Zip up the directory and let me download it! Problem solved!
On my current machine of 2017, however, and as I don't have a procedure list for what...
An Origin Eon 17 SLX with a GeForce GTX 980M.
While I don't doubt this in your case, there are issues getting it to run out-of-the-box on my machine, since, without the DX9 client, it drops dead trying to run in my native resolution of 3840x2160. So I have to disagree with you there.
I've...
I'm using the 2010 version of Orbiter for the shuttle fleet stuff.
I found out about the touchdown points with the 2016 version using the Delta Glider IV. Crashes whenever you touch where it thinks the ground is.
Yay.
You know, I've played with this sim since 2002.
I've forgotten too much...
Is there a known way to get the old Shuttle Fleet working with any version of Orbiter with all the happy addons, including but not limited to:
D3D9 Client
AutoFCS (with bases visible in the drop-down box--the best I've managed is a truncated list where I can't see what base is which)
Edwards...
So it does seem to have an issue with other USB devices. Which seems odd, since I only use the joystick in the controls settings. Is there something one can do to make Orbiter ignore other devices? I seem to recall something about this, but it's been too long.
Egads, as a flight sim/gamer guy that's, uh, a LOT of peripherals...
I thought orbiter only listened to the USB inputs you told it to?
Still, I'll give it a try...
So I'm using the latest/greatest 2016 version with the DX9 client.
Everything is now finally as I want it (mostly--couple MFD conflicts--whatever) and I'm still plagued by the initial issue I had originally which is:
In internal/external views, as soon as you hit the right mouse button to look...
[SOLVED]
Having downloaded and failed to install the C++ redist from Microsoft (they say I have a more modern version installed, and therefore that old one ain't gonna) I'm wondering what to try next?
The MFD shows up (and is selected) in modules tab, but not when I'm in my ship.
This happens...
In other news, I'm trying to figure out some conflicts with 2016 and MFDs that should work with it, but aren't showing up in-ship due to (apparently) a C++ issue... That's a different post in a different topic area, though.
This did indeed work! My only quandary now is being able to read the bases, as they all say "Earth\STS_Payloads..." and truncate. Which is fine if you know the order of them.
I don't. =( Still it's good to know I can land, even if I don't know where...
I think I was caught out in the...
Found In Another Forum: Please Disregard.
Not meaning to sound like a berkish newbie, but it's been YEARS since I've had a functional install of the shuttle fleet on my PC. (Or Orbiter for that matter)
I'm wondering if there's a list of comprehensive instructions on how to make it all go...
I...
Not meaning to necro, but I'd be very interested to know how to make this work, as I'm having the same issue and can't 'make it go.'
As a point of reference, I've also read/tried this as well.
