Here in the US flying is generally a very expensive hobby too. That's really mainly why I didn't earn my pilot's license until I was in my 40's although I first soloed when I was 16 years old.
In the US if you build your own airplane you have the legal right to do all your own maintenance on it...
I must agree with you on this point. Compared to most of the rest of the world we have it very good here in the USA for general and homebuilt aviation. I feel very fortunate indeed to live in a country that allows ordinary people to build and fly their own aircraft as they see fit. I wanted to...
After re-reading this post I must clarify that I agree with you Tex. I'm not disappointed in the forum at all... This is a great place for us orbinuts to get together and bang heads. Thanks for providing the forum! :)

Yes it does. I am running the package available from orbiterschool.com at: http://http://orbiterschool.com/files/addon/ttm24.zip
I find it works beautifully.
Congratulations on a job well done and welcome to the ranks of licensed pilots! May you have favorable winds on your flight toward your goal.
Now you get to buy the next round of drinks

I just use the docking MFD, activate the top docking port on the PTM (SHFT KP5) and work to align the PTM longitudinally, to the aft of the lander 3 to 5 meters below it. I then work my way toward the lander keeping my speed very low and alignment as precise as I...
I definitely think we would be remiss to not include "To the Moon in 24 Hours" To the Moon in 24 Hours (with panel) by Ken Bolli. It is one of the most complete and realistic add-on packages I have seen.
