My current flight is my first mission to the ISS. I'm flying a stock Delta Glider and learning how to dock by visiting all the ports on the station. The images below show something I haven't seen before. This was only visible in vc mode. I'm approaching sunset here. Notice how the view is partially washed out, almost as though the sun's glare is reflecting off the glass. Images only show if you're logged in. View full size.

The second shot shows the position of the sun when the first shot was taken.

The rest of these pics show me moving into Earth's shadow, where the effect disappears.

Looked kind of cool, so I thought I'd share.

edit: It happened again next orbit, and the effect was more pronounced, but I didn't take screenies.

edit2: I reloaded this scenario and fast forwarded to the second orbit, thinking that I'd take pics this time, but the effect didn't occur on the second orbit. This may be more rare than I thought. Has anyone else seen anything like this?

I see this effect everytime I run "Tutorials\DG-ISS Sync Dock" scenarious, as you shown in your screenshots. I think it's normal.
You say that the effect didn't occur on the second attempt, this is simply because the sun position was not the same with relation to the camera.
There is nothing strange in this effect. The cockpit is a model, and like any model in Orbiter it can reflect the light.
