Another ex-astronaut seems to have come out on the subject. Anyone care to comment and/or suggest when the cover will finally be lifted?

Or will we really have to wait until a UFO lands on the White House lawn and offer rides for $20.00 (with or without the fuel surcharge?)?

I think we'll have to wait until people who make these claims present why they think what anomalous thing they saw immediately belongs in the realm of extraterrestrial intelligence. Unless Mr. Mitchell saw an alien lifeform in his encounter, he has no evidence to say whatever he saw was (1) a piloted craft of any kind or (2) piloted by aliens.
