Problem compatibility

If I understand correctly, any add-ons that are in .dll form, like MFDs, Delta Glider IV, and the XR series, have to be compiled against the beta SDK in order to work. This is not something that a user can do unless they have the source code for the .dll.
However, I wouldn't be absolutely sure that older add-ons won't work, but that's iffy at best.

You do not have to recompile everything against the new SDK. Addons that use changed or removed functions will need source code adjustments before recompiling them.
Most addons will work out of the box with the betas. At least with the internal dx7 renderer. If you have specific problems with a particular addon, you can try asking for help for that special case. But since this is a beta, I wouldn't have too high hopes for support from the developer.
You also installed the beta wrong. As stated on the download page, you need to make a clean install with Base 090331 and install then Base 090722 over it. Most likely is this the reason you have problems with running addons.
