Hey all,

I'm having an issue with the auto hover function on the DG doing the Brighton Beach scenario. I'll bring it up to 20m nice and slow and the second I engage the auto hover it maxes out the hover thrust and shoots me straight into the air instead of holding me at that altitude. If I turn it off it goes back to normal controls but if I engage it again it goes full power again. I haven't messed with the default keyboard mapping (I've also clicked the button with the mouse instead of the "A" key to make sure that wasn't the issue).

Any ideas?

Still haven't figured out what is causing it, but a "work-around" of sorts I came up with is to use the DGIV as the altitude hold autopilot is working fine for me.

I'm not sure, you're using DG standard, XR-1 or DGIV?
Because all of them have Hover functions.

Problem is with DG standard. I suppose I also should have specified, fresh install of 2010-P1.

Well, I don't have that problem, after reaching some height, DG smoothly stops after activating Auto Hover.
The only issue taht reminds me your problem is something that has to do with mouse focus, but I don't know about DG standard, normally I use XR vessels. Basically, if I use mouse to move levers (main thrust or hover), and I release (mouseup) the left button out of lever, it seems that mouse movements up and down are still tied to it, I have to click once more on the lever to release it.
That's the only thing I could say about, sorry if it doesn't help.

If my vertical speed to too great, or I am at a large time acceleration, by autohover spazzes. Set time to 1x, then manually bring your vertical speed close to zero before engaging the AP. :)

And then sometimes the AP's are just :compbash2:
