Compressing and packing Space-time... Now that's an interesting idea ! :)

hahah it's just a simple cargo mesh for the dg-iv.

It originally made it to be used with RWarp which has a fuel feature and requires a cargo called RWarpCap to operate, and it will use up some of the mass of the cargo. I think it has to be UCGO or something to work though. I plan to figure that part out and re-release an update for it, but it works fine as is.

Also could be used to explain the DG-IV's unbelievably incredible performance ratings?

The idea about space compression is from an old comic I used to write when I was in little about mosquitoes that converted some nut shells into spacecraft and explore common places as though they were planets, like watermelons.

lol....man I was way off in my thinking...I got my hopes up  ok cool I will check it out

what did you think it was???? now i want to know! :shifty:

looks nice!

2 questions,

1. Does it work as fuel for Rwarp? Or does it use its own MFD?

2. Does it work in orbiter 2006?

Thanks!

I believe the previous posts in this thread point to it as a static payload, with the possibility of future compatibility with RWarp.

1. as is, it doesn't work as fuel for Rwarp, and it does NOT have it's own mfd!

2. it works in 2006 and 2010, i tested it in both

all it is now is dead weight to carry around in your dg-iv. its like something to show if someone wants to see whats under your hood, as it were.

I am working on an update to use it as a fuel cap for Rwarp, which is the original intention

Excuse for my English. I from Russia, badly know English

RWarpMFD works without cargo Space Compression Engine. MFD writes Warp Drive unavailable but all works. How it is possible to make dependence with cargo RWarpDrive? That MFD wouldn't work if isn't present RWarpDrive onboard

In config files RWarp.cfg

--------------------
;If this is true, a RWarpDrive cargo must be mounted to the ship. If false, it
;will assume the ship already has a drive and only requires RWarpCap for fuel
RequireDrive=TRUE
--------------------

It would require a change to the DLL used by RWarp itself

originally I made it as an "RwarpCAP" file that was designed to be a cargo that loses mass the user warped here and there as described in Nicker43's manual. This property could be given to any mesh but i thought it would be cool to have a mesh specifically made for the Rwarpdrive. I think the newer version of rwarpdrive has changed this feature but i haven't had time to look at the "new" version (not so new any more)

so I was going to type this earlier but had to run out the door, I was going to say that if you want to use rwarpdrive without the cargo, set the setting you stated to FALSE, but if you set it "true" then i haven't set it up for that just yet :(

[ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alcubierre_metric"]Alcubierre metric[/ame]. I think in reality it would need a bit more infrastructure than a DGIV cargo crate, if it can be done at all. You avoid 90% of the problems if you don't try to exceed C though. It basically drops down to the negative matter and how to apply it; you sidestep all the problems with guidance and instabilities and horizons and frying everything.

Still, a sublight Alcubierre drive is orders of magnitude less cool than an FTL one.
