Installation DirectX Test Stalled

Hello everyone!

Anyhow, to cut to the chase. Upon installing a fresh version of Orbiter 2010, the program fails to load, it stalls at the installation verification screen.

Specifically, at the directX test.

All the other libraries and runtimes are accounted for and are showing green, but not DirectX.



I havn't the foggiest why this is happening, as Orbiter was running just fine on my system before we cleared it out with a bunch of other programs.

My apologies, my search showed no relevant threads.

I'll look at the threads you posted, and see if they help.

How long did you wait before declaring it as stalled? The DirectX test takes more time than the others combined; ~9 seconds on my machine.
