General Question Docking

Hey I have a new question I can get real close and about to dock but then I have to flip my shuttle 90 degrees to postion the ODS to the Docking Port. When I do this I get my controls all messed up and for the life of me I cant dock properly. Also I was wondering how to get the guidence MFD.

You were using Shuttle Fleet? IIRC it has a docking mode that switches the RCS controls around so that they work in the usual sense from the perspective of the docking port centreline camera. It was mentioned in the manual IIRC.

STS Guidance MFD is on Avsim, or alternatively, it is included with the Shuttle Fleet Expansion Packs:

Thanks the next problem I have which I don't know how many of you have this mfd is that I can't get redshift to work on the approach to station. Any ideas

Redshift is very old, I'd be surprised if it worked at all with the shuttle fleet.

Oh maybe it doesn't. I just docked for the first time using the space shuttle YAY. If you have any other ideas feel free to keep posting them

Just to clarify what I posted above Redshift works fine auto docking the Shuttle Fleet, and any other craft for that matter as long as you make the appropriate edits in the pdf file I posted the link for above. It even auto docked one of the Francis Drake add on's that had the docking port in the rear of the craft which I thought was quite cool

However that's all it can do is the auto docking part. Nothing else in the old add on is reliable with the current Orbiter version. So you're on your own to sync orbits and rendezvous. I usually zero out the relative velocity around 1km from my docking target before I activate it.
