An aircraft of extreme rarity visited a local airport near Chicago and me (DuPage Airport ICAO: KDPA) this weekend, giving rides to those who bought tickets. It left today (Monday) for Oshkosh, where it will be on display for the week. This is the last flying B-29 in the world, making it extremely rare. B-29's famously dropped nuclear bombs on Japan during WWII. They were the largest and most advanced bombers to fly during WWII and the Korean War. I got the opportunity to walk around FiFi and witness it takeoff and land. Here are the pictures -
