How many Astronauts have you met?

Andre Kuipers

I met Andre kuipers (ESA, dutch) once, he coming into the office pay his landing fees at the airport. Pretty cool

Additionally I had sex with several of them :beach:

Ive had the honour of meeting Jon McBride ( have an autographed photo) and Harrison Schmit ( have the National Geographic of his story of Apollo 17. Both of whom were patient with my questions and Jon McBride posed for qa photo.

I've had the pleasure of talking at length about the Space Shuttle with both Thomas Akers and Sandra Magnus. They were both very enlightening, especially Sandra Magnus about what it's actually like to fly in the shuttle.

I haven't met a single one, but I did get an e-mail from Jim Lovell once.

I was at the Science Museum in London when I was quite young and one of the Apollo astronauts was there (can't remember which one though) giving a talk.

I have also seen Alexander Volkov at a talk at my 6th form college.

Was he giving his talk on the Russian Mars mission? It's a pretty good talk that.

I've never met any, but my grandfather worked for Dept. of Defense and apparently met the Mercury 7. He also recieved some sort of medal for working with Apollo 8.

Never met one astronaut yet, but I had a lecture held by a European astronaut trainer and ISS CAPCOM, and repaired the PCs of the guys who designed the structure of the Philae comet lander.

No astronauts, I believe, but I did get a chance to meet (and briefly converse with!) Dr. von Tiesenhausen. :)

I did not have a direct meeting with an astronaut . BUT if you look on my profile and my family picture album you will find my grandfatehr ( who served in the provincial government ) shaking hands with Yuri Gagrin back in 1961 at the pugwash peace conference. We found the pics when cleaning out the attic! I am getting them restored so i can get them professionally framed.
