Hi, I downloaded a star trek ship, and I want to explore the solar system. I am using IMFD, and I can get to any planet I want, but it takes forever. What I want to be able to do is burn the entire way there so that the trip takes a lot less time. Can anyone tell me how to do this in IMFD?

If you're using a Star Trek ship, you don't need IMFD. Just point at the planet you want to go to and turn the engines on...when you're about halfway there, turn around and burn the other way.

It is not that strong, only 100M of thrust, it still takes a while to speed up and get into and out of orbit. Also, I was interested in using DGIV to direct burn to the moon.

In the fictional drive category, there are also these:

Hielor's right mostly. If you want it to be a little more intuitive, align yourself with the target and open TransferMFD (the one that ships with Orbiter) with your reference as the Sun, and enter your target. Set up a trajectory that will take you very close to the planet, but at some insane velocity, and head out. When you enter the target's SOI (the number at the bottom of OrbitMFD for that target is either yellow or green) hit retrograde and slow yourself into a stable orbit. That's about as easy (cough boring) as it can get. Trek/Sci-fi ships have uncanny thrust and nigh-unlimited Dv, so it really doesn't matter if you screw up.

I've had reports that IMFD's Delta Velocity program works somewhat for this, using P-30 mode seems to be better than velocity frame.

I found out how to do this, you just set he time to intercept to a really low number, like 10 minutes or something. Thanks for the help though!
