I just installed Orbiter. It did run, but I could not found a manual on how to control the spaceship. I pressed on
all of the keyboard but most of the keyboard did not do anything.

Which spaceship? Did you launch? Were you already in orbit?

When in orbit try the numpad keys, might get some movement then.
If on the ground try pressing and holding the + key on the numpad, that gives you full throttle on the ship whatever ship it is.

Try reading the orbiter manual in the orbiter folder / doc/ orbiter

Have checked the subfolder named "Doc"? Hint: it's short for Documents. In there is the Orbiter manual.

Also, Orbiter contains a in-game help... just press ALT+F1 or F4 and then select "Help..."

There's a big learning curve here, but if you're up to the task it's loads of fun!

For most people it's necessary to read the Orbiter manual (I'm sure there are exceptions, but they prove the rule) - all the basics are covered in there, and it's all stuff you need to know. Try starting with the Delta-Glider, too, as it's the easiest platform to learn on.

And as you can already see, there are lot's of people here on the forum willing to give some helpful advice.

Well, most of basic controls are on numpad.
Personaly I never thought that advice to read manual is helpfull :^) Manuals tend to be hard to be references rather then tutorials. Yet, the fact is that reading orbiter's manual (at least the quickstart part) is very usefull (nearly obligatory).

1. Read the manual - It's located in the 'Doc' folder which is in the Orbiter folder where ever you installed Orbiter.

2. Beginners Tutorials - Try some out HERE, including "Go Play in Space" which maybe easier to read and understand than the Orbiter manual itself.

Hope this helps you figure it out. It's really alot of fun and very rewarding when you do. Welcome to the forum! :welcome:
