If I'm correct, it was taken from a Soyuz craft.

Yep. The Mir crew undocked their Soyuz TM prior to the orbiter undocking and redocked shortly after the orbiter undocked.

Or.... Another instance of NASA fakery?

Notice the blue haze under the "Orbiter" - a botched airbrush job to cover up the Revel model stand. PROOF! HAHAHAHAHA!

This has obviously been faked in a new secret high-tech realistic spaceflight simulator probably created by some Ph.D in an English university. ;)

Now you're on to something! I suspect (and in the conspiracy business, suspicions pass for solid truth) that this British mastermind seeks the humiliation and ultimate collapse of the rebel North American government, and the restoration of Crown rule over the Colonies.

And that old "M6" forum... so close to MI5... Coincidence? I suspect not!

Thats engineering. They wanted to have photos of the undocking for post flight analysis of the APAS-89 docking system.

Also, undocking, moving to a new docking port and redocking is a standard maneuver for the Soyuz family. In earlier stations (salyut 6&7), it was enough to just undock, rotate the station by 180° and redock.

that Picture was taken from Orbiter directX 10 edition !

Shhh, I told you to not talk about our Orbiter 2009! :chair:
Now you'll make those Crysis forum guys find our secret "Orbithangar Elite" and download the open source to finally beat us in graphics! :(

You should try your hand as a PI: then you'll see just how much work you'll need for 1 picture.

The first rule of Orbiter is you do not talk about Orbiter. The second rule of Orbiter is you DO NOT talk about Orbiter. Third rule is when someone hits ALT+F4, the flight is over even if he didn't mean it. Fourth rule: only two ships dock. Fifth rule: one lunar landing at a time. Sixth rule: no shirts and no shoes, unless the SEAT BELT light is on. Seventh rule: the burns go on as long as TransX computes them to go. Eighth rule: if this is your first orbit here, you've got to do a reentry.

Like base jumping from the Eiger north face at night?

How many cheating spouses choose the Eiger north face as a place to cavort around? :P

Have you ever investigated that? Maybe most cheat there because they feel safe of PIs there.

Nope, you can camp out at the local hotel with a good spotter and this.

Gna, that is standard business. If you would work undercover as assistant cook inside the hotel, this would be effort. :P
