Problem Invisible Orbiter Launchpad

I am using orbiter 2010 and it has been working great. However, when I tried to install the XR2 Ravenstar, it would not let me run it (see previous thread). After that, whenever I tried to run orbiter, the launchpad would appear in the taskbar, but it did not on the screen. I tried unzipping orbiter again, but the minute I try to install an addon, it stops working. I'm not blaming it on the XR2, but I am wondering if there is a connection between addons and my problem. How did you install addons?

try and redownload both, the XR-2 and the orbiter base file. then see if it works.
could be that another addon is the source of you problem.

Are you using Orbiter 2010? I had that problem too. In Orbiter 2010P1 this problem is fixed. Go and download the latest version.
