The great State of Confusion
I am looking for a video and/or .pdf file, which explains how to fly the shuttle. I want to learn how to:

1. Launch the shuttle.
2. Put the shuttle into a stable orbit.
3. Load the cargo bay and once in orbit deploy the payload.
4. Safely reenter the atmosphere.
5. Land at an airstrip, i.e. KSC.

I have seen videos on the various sites, on Youtube and wherever, so I know there are a lot of very smart people out there making videos and I am hoping there is a video or set of videos that will do what I am requesting. If not, I am hoping that someone has written a .pdf file on the procedure.

There must be tons of scenarios out there to get the process started and any suggestions on a good one to start with will be greatly appreciated.

I also believe that the shuttle has the capability to dock with a space station, i.e.ISS. Any videos and/or .pdf's explaining that process would be appreciated.

One other thing, I guess I will also have to learn how to do space walks from the shuttle, please also help me with that process.

Thank you all for the help. As I remember other questions I will post them, but as you can see from this request, I am basically looking for a complete course on the day to day operation of the Space Shuttle.

Thank you all in advance.

Are you familiar with the basics of spaceflight? In other words, can you do these things (launch, dock, etc) with the stock Delta Glider?

The reason I ask is because the Shuttle is very unforgiving. It's a poor choice for learning the basics. The DG will allow you to focus on the physics, and learn much quicker. The "Go Play In Space" tutorial is a good starting place:

http://www.orbiter-forum.com/tutorials.php

You'll find links to many other good tutorials there as well.

Once you have the basics down, you can learn many of the specifics for the Shuttle by reading the "Atlantis.pdf", which is found in the "Docs" folder inside the "Orbiter" folder.

I know it's tempting to start with the Shuttle, but you will cause yourself a lot of frustration if you start there - it's much more difficult to fly than the DG and you will learn much quicker on a more forgiving vessel.
