OHM Level 10 Earth

VERY IMPRESSIVE!!!
I highly recommended this addon for Orbiter, especially when you want to do realistic bases.
Also, once I release the bases I am making, I highly recommend you guys to use this, as it's way better and way more realistic than the default Earth :D

What are the differences between this and Seth Eden's L10 Earth?

The only problem with this add on is after I installed it my night lights stopped working. Now the night side of Earth looks like a starless part of space.

Simply STUNNING !
Agree with this guy. Also, PHILIPPINES LOOKS SO REALISTIC NOW!!!
The default Philippine map looks a bit unrealistic, too much green. This changes EVERYTHING!!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for anyone who uses Orbiter.
TAKE NOTE: My PC is low-end, and this works perfectly fine.

Help Please!

When I install the textures, I always start a little bit off of the runway...does anyone know what is going on?

it sounds like you are using an old .scn that is starting your vehicle on the new modified 2010 lat/lon layout, which now matches google earth, but is different from 2006 .scn files which are off by a few hundred meters or something. You could try fixin it real quick by using the scenario editor to move to the desired runway and then save your current state as a named starting scenario and use it instead of the one you are using (throw it away, if the new one works everytime)

Wha wha? Wow thanks for the quick reply. I am not quite sure I know how to run the Scenario Editor. And anyways, after a fresh install, I am back on the runway.

The only thing is, I don't know if I actually have the level 10 maps installed or not. I can't really tell the difference as I haven't really played that much.

Did you move it into your Textures folder from Textures 2?

Also, are you using this with Orbiter 2010? There are newer, higher-resolution textures for it HERE.

the level 10 maps that you are posting under the topic of are easily identifiable by the DARK navy blue ocean and CLEARLY visible continental shelves/general ocean topography. if the shoreline just ends in blue which a generally pale green landscape, then you are probably using the pack-in earth texture. There is, in my opinion, a better earth texture available for orbiter 2010 only that is level 11 (I think). Some say that the colors aren't as striking as this level 10 earth, but I really enjoy the detail even at relatively low altitudes (LEO).

P.S. If you look on the main orbiter website at the gallery, and see Martin S' samples of the new high res florida and andes and your earth looks blurrier then its probably not the 10 or 11 texture

Earth L10 - Bug earth nights texture

It's not a bug, it's a feature. Those textures simply don't contain night city lights.

I checked it by scanning flags field of Earth_tile.bin file:
TileMgr.h said:
tile flags: bit 0: has diffuse component; bit 1: has specular component; bit 2: has city lights
None of the tiles had either 4, 5, 6 or 7 set for flags in the Earth_tile.bin file.

How do I enable it, if possible? I see that you are of Polish ? In this case, drop me a PW In Polish :)

In this case, please someone who knows how to rework these textures Earth L10 and adding Night texture - Orbiter 2010 P1
Thanks

Sorry for my English
