Sorry if this is the wrong place, but I really need the high-resolution KSC coverage files that comes with a fresh install of Orbiter. I accidentally overwrote the files, and I really need them. I don't care if you send me them or post the download link in this thread.
Thank you.

You're probably best just re-downloading the Orbiter package and getting them out of there, they should be in the "Textures" directory.

Why don't you just take them from a fresh orbiter install?

I have another copy that is fresh, but I don't know what are the names of the files.

Okay, let me explain this more clearly. It all went wrong when I downloaded an addon (what name is it is not important) but felt like I don't really need it. Some of the addon coverage "overlayed" the old one. I put the new files in the Textures folder and no files need to be replaced. I didn't delete them. And these files are not in the fresh copy of Orbiter. So that could be the problem.

EDIT: I deleted the addon files in the Textures folder, but it didn't work. The addon coverage is still overlaying the one in the fresh copy.

What I recommend for the future is a nice little app that I use called "Generic Mod Enabler" by Jonesoft. It's really great to have if you have a ton of addons like I do and it makes it so you don't need many different installations of Orbiter. Also it makes it so you can easily remove mods and put new ones in with the click of a button. I use it for a LOT of different games.

I don't want programs or stuff like that, 'cause I'm too lazy. :P Just give me the files.

Somebody500, go into the Zip file that was your original download of Orbiter, and you'll find the files in there. If you have deleted that original zip file, I seriously recommend redownloading it, as it's very handy to have around.

P.S. Saying you're lazy on a forum is not going to get you very far :P

I think I still have the files. I will try to delete all traces of the addon.

Sorry for double posting, but the deleting thing did not work :(

Please help! I'm dying for help!

He's right. That's the only logical thing for you to do.

Yep. Heck, I go through every few months and recreate a fresh copy of Orbiter just to keep thing tidy. Nothing wrong at all with starting a new install.

I will reinstall. That's what I'm thinking. But it'll take too much pain installing all the addons I need and stuff like that.

Generic Mod Enabler.
I didn't want to use it either because I was "to lazy", however, after several installs because of bad addons, I learned to use it. VERY wise choice.

Sure, it takes a little longer to install addons, but the extra time is worth the ability to "disable" the addons

Then backup before doing anything new. Only way to be sure.

I just downloaded it, and I'm finding it very good. The only problem though, is how it handles modified files. If I have two addons that modify eath.cfg (two different earth bases), for example, what do I do to have their modifications merged? Is it even possible?

Somebody500:

It's real simple. Create a new folder in your C:/ drive for your Orbiter installation. Install Orbiter in that folder with only the addons you know you want installed and that you know work properly. Once you get everything installed and setup, literally copy everything inside that Orbiter install folder to a 'backup' folder.

If you install some addon later that messes something up, then simply delete all the files from your Orbiter install folder. Next copy all the contents from that 'backup' folder into your Orbiter install folder and you're back to a fresh install with only those addons you included from the beginning.
