We may be able to. I'm not certain, though.

yeah that would be crazy, but idk screenshots may be the better route because that can seriously tax a system depending on the computer.

Perhaps to reach mars or one of Jupiters moons (Europa, Io) or Saturns moons (Enceladus, etc.) but thats just my vision for manned exploration in the long run

There is a program called vMC that can be used over the internet. It gets real-time data from from Orbiter and sends it to different "terminals" (people's computers). This data includes flight information (longitude, latitude, altitude, and other telemetry).

Actually, it doesn't look like it requires much. Just Orbiter (when running the server, and therefore the flight) and an internet connection. The system specs, from my understanding, should be pretty low. Any computer purchased in the last 5-7 years at the very least.

I was thinking chat-based (IRC-like). Having mission control, in my opinion, makes it feel more realistic. The Mission Control program can communicate with many controllers at the same time through the internet.
