The process NT Kernel & System seems to be using half of my CPU making my computer very slow. I don't know what I can do about it.

Does it still do that after a reboot? After a clean reboot, take a look in the Task Manager and click "Processes". Then look at which process is using most of the CPU.

Yes
I just rebooted and it stayed good for a bit then it went back to half of the CPU

Which operating system is this? If it's Vista, it sounds like it could be Windows Search indexing in the background. If that's the case, you can disable the Windows Search Service in the control panel: just set its startup type to "Disabled" instead of "Automatic (delayed start)".

I do have vista
Is there anything I can do about it
