In the event of a failure to get to either landing site the supplies will be sent to the other landing site.

If we don't have a probe on the surface for measurements we don't land there.

Just wondering, what realism settings are going to be used for the XR2s?

thats up to the pilot, as there is no way to check or validate which settings have been used I'm not going to worry too much about it.
