Late May, early June is probably the best time... Not because of the weather...
Trust me... it's gonna be hot! (especially for our friends from +60 or -60 latitudes)

I just downloaded and watched that. That was pro, agentgonzo. So epic and well done. How did you time that landing with the hover engines so perfectly? And how did you get it to an angle of attack of 90 degrees like that?

He actually sent me a PM when he saw my comment on OH! "How the hell did you do that kick-ass landing?
Just shift the COG back and hover?"

His response:
"Yes, kick back the CoG to about 4.0 whilst pulling back on the stick and you should pitch up massively. When you're just about level-pitch (or maybe pointing slightly down) activate the pitch autopilot (at 0°) and it'll hold it level for you, then put the hover thrusters to full!

Getting the altitude at which to pull the manoeuvre was a case of trial and error from a load of saved scenarios. The whole thing had the feel of landing with a hand-brake turn.
