Project Orion 606

So does this make sense?

From what I have been told the Orion that will go beyond the moon will have the Round arrays
No, both the EM-1 and EM-2 Orions will have the ATV-derived solar arrays which are rectangular in an X-configuration. The one you're working on is outdated by about 2 years or so.

Exactly - the round solar arrays had been chosen before the ATV-derived service module was included.

My friends from Lockheed have told me both in Houston and at KSC that no contract past EM 2 has been signed using the ATV SM. There is a third ATV SM flight structure at KSC but no insides just the frame. NASA has wanted the ISS partners to help with Orion and ESA so far is the only one.
Lockheed has contacted the suppliers for Cygnus to look at an upscale array with sun tracking and can be retracted for MPCV operations past the moon and the plan is to wrap the CM with silver tape as with Apollo for EM 2.
With this new administration comes hope to revive NASA and its manned flight program. JWST, More deep space probes and the Gateway station are pretty high on the wish list along with a lunar lander and some from of a moon base.

Actually, there is no contract yet past EM 2 for anything.
