I'm going to get up and watch it with my telescope.

11:57 PM: Moon enters penumbra.

1:17 AM: Moon enters umbra.

2:38 AM: Moon has maximum coverage of roughly 50%.

Those times are in Central Daylight Time.

You are lucky if you live in the middle of the pacific ocean.

blast! why does it have to be over the pacific ocean! oh well, i guess there are alot of pacific islanders that get the best show. i guess at moonset isn't bad, hopfully it won't be behind a hill where i am!

btw- lunar eclipse is visible for whole hemisphere, so instead of saying N. America, you could say something like over the pacific hemisphere LOL

Gah, the Moon just dropped below the horizon here. :beathead:

On a side note, it was a beautiful red colour tonight, nearly full and set huge against the horizon around dusk.

Well I saw it coming up through thin clouds, but now it's all overcast. This stupid atmosphere is blocking my view.

do you guys realize it says june 26? its only friday june 25!

The UK is about as far from the region of visibility as it's possible to be. I remember the eclipse of December well though. Good luck to all viewing it!

Maybe I can stay up that late :P

I fall asleep fast, so probably not...

I'm just gonna set my alarm. I have my telescope set up in my backyard. When its about 1:30(ish) I'll get up and look at the moon.

Sadly it is completely overcast here...as it is 99 percent of the time :( I tried to get into astronomy as a hobby years ago, but it is almost impossible given that we rarely get clear skies. In addition, when the skies are dark enough to use a telescope, the temperature is in the neighborhood of 0 degrees. When it is warm enough to persue the hobby, it doesn't get dark...at all.

It was overcast here too, so I didn't see it. Stupid thunderstorms...

It is almost always completely cloudy or mostly cloudy here... every week or two a day without clouds.
