After the success of the single seat capsule Poderosa (avaiable on Orbit Hangar: [ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4133"]Poderosa Mission - Missione Poderosa[/ame] ) the Orbiter Forum Italia community is developping a Poderosa Lunar Lander Mission (the first step is the Marco Polo probe, avaiable on Orbit Hangar:[ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4171"]"Marco Polo - Anita" probe mission -- Missione son[/ame] ).
The proposal is to bring the firs italian astronaut on the Moon, by using a method similar to the apollo mission
This is the "Garibaldi" Rocket:

It's capable to carry a 31200 kg payload to the Moon: a two seat capsule and a single seat lander.
Do you have some suggestions or proposals?

Looks very nice! Of course a good texture would help a bit. Why just single seat lander? Why not have both go down to the surface?

Because this is just the first step. The second step will be a four seat direct lander. The launcher will be the same one!
Where can i find some good textures for my add ons?

We needed a totally new launch complex and here it is:
Aurora Platform:

BasDecollo.JPG

It can assembly and launch a 3000 tons and 135 m high rocket and it's in Kenya (equator site) near the old and obsolete italian base San Marco.
This is a beta version of the base and we have to improve texture details!
Where can i find some good textures?
Thank you!

I'm looking forward to this. I've spent lots of time with Pondarosa and Anita since they've been uploaded. Great work!

Mandatory add ons are Aurora Launch platform ([ame="http://www.orbithangar.com/searchid.php?ID=4194"]Aurora Launch Platform v 1.0[/ame]) , vinka's module multistage2 and spacecraft3,orulex, meshland2 and orbitersuond 3.5 The next Beta test will improve dock and undock maneuvres beetween the lunar lander and the capsule+service module!
Any suggestion or idea is welcome!

Awesome! I had already downloaded this (I sneaked into the Italian forum) and can't wait for the whole project to be done. I love the Poderosa capsule. It seems like something that could really be done by a small(ish) space agency. Keep up the great work!

The Poderosa II Service Module is ready:

This third beta test of the Poderosa II: lunar lander mission will be soon avaiable

Cool. That looks good.

Will you put out another beta?

Those photos look awesome! Can't wait to fly this thing to the moon. Does the capsule itself do the TLI burn or does it have an upperstage to do the burn? In the photos I don't see anything except the capsule, or are you still at the Apollo 9, just in LEO with the lander/capsule?

This is just a test (the downloadable test will be avaiable in a few days) the third stage of the Broglio rocket will do the TLI burn in future tests. The last photo is just for luck!
